Bareburger is an American fast food chain that is built on a sustainable mindset. Check below for the latest Bareburger menu with prices.
When the word “sustainable” or “plant-based” pops up, it usually means a crazy, highly processed chemical mess that’ll surely ruin your appetite.
But here at Bareburger, they sell both meat and play-based alternatives in the exact same place. It doesn’t matter what you like or what you prefer; Bareburger has one for all.
The principle is to sustain not just plant-based products but also alternative meats like bison or anything else. Anyway, let’s have a quick look at the Bareburger menu and prices.

Bareburger History
There are several guys behind the founding of Bareburgers. It’s said that they previously worked in a closet-sized kitchen in a music venue.
There, they offered the same burgers they serve at their stores now. There weren’t many variations, or we can say people didn’t care much.
It took years of saving, patience, and careful planning before their dream of opening their own restaurant came true.
2009 became their dream year when Bareburger became a full-blown 40-seat restaurant from a kitchen counter.
It served sustainable options from the stars. Like beef patties made from 100% organic and grass-fed cows.
All other ingredients are hand-picked by local authorities, guaranteeing that each thing is right out of the field every day.
Even cheese is made in the store. Meanwhile, some items, like vegan ice cream, are sourced from local vendors.
Pretty much every single item in this store has a solid story backing up how sustainable it is. While not forcing people to eat lab-made patties like some love to do.
Studies show that lab tests actually increase the chance of cancer and then reduce it. Well, the same can be said about commercially processed patties that big names use.
Bareburgers doesn’t claim anything regarding that, which is fine. Still, this much is certain: whatever you’ll get here is far better than others.
Sustainable food without compromising on quality or taste—that’s what Bareburger promises, and we’ll find out soon enough how true that is.
As of today, Bareburger has 29 restaurants. The majority of it is situated in New York City, with 18 branches.
While the rest is scattered around the state. Still, its density has gone down significantly in the last few years. Probably due to the bad policies the current administration has or the COVID pandemic.
Bareburger Review
I’m looking forward to the plant-based one. It’s always fun to eat one of these and criticize it. Usually, it doesn’t surprise me, but who knows, maybe Bareburger is different.
Anyhow, make sure to take a quick look at the Bareburger menu prices given above. The names are quite interesting, and the same goes for their ingredients.
First on our list is the Wagyu Smash. This one uses a special kind of blend called Pat LaFrieda wagyu beef blend.
It is said to be one of the original recipes that is still holding on to this day. It also includes 100% original American cheese, Vidalia onion, dill pickle, special sauce, and two potato buns for that authentic taste.
The Vidalia onion is a new one for me. It’s a sweeter version of the onion that is sourced locally. It’s not that popular, despite being a good source of nutrients.
That’s why Bareburger uses that. Their goal is to promote these kinds of ingredients that are easily overlooked for their slightly higher price than the competition.
That doesn’t mean it is bad; in fact, it is priced higher because it has less demand. It’s not sustainable that way, but Bareburger said no to that trend.
There will be a lot of things that you’ll see. Which are directly sourced from the community to help them survive, while we are into these mouth-watery treats.
Did I forget to tell you that it tastes fantastic? Maybe I did, but now you know. Next up is the vegan burger.
It’s called Vegan Be My Burger for some reason. Anyway, the patty was made using sweet potatoes, kale, and wild rice.
Meanwhile, the bun was from a lettuce bed. It further included oat milk cheddar cheese, tomatoes, red onions, sweet pickles, and spicy green goddess sauce.

Final Thoughts
Both burgers had their own way of showing how good they were. The beef burger was elegant, and each layer was carefully placed so the flavors didn’t overlap with each other.
The vegan burger had a fresh aroma, and the bun wasn’t half bad either. I won’t deny the fact that there was no weirdness in any of them.
Bareburger kept their promise, and I’m happy to say they get 10/10 from us. I highly recommend a place to visit on your NYC tour.
Or maybe you just want to experience something different without compromising on your regular taste. Then this is the place for you; here, not only vegans can enjoy themselves, but non-vegans can too, without jumping in each other’s throats! (That’s a joke, btw.)
