BigFoot Java History
In the year 2000, an investment firm was founded by many individuals. These guys had diverse backgrounds, like the one we mentioned in the intro.
There isn’t any public record about their names or how many people were involved. But we know this much: their goal was to enter the food industry with original concepts.
The firm was named Bigfoot Investment Group, LLC. While their concepts would be used in another project called “BigFoot Java®”.
It took them two years to evolve their concepts for the general audience. Meanwhile, the first location was already WIP in Puyallup, Washington.
In 2002, it was officially launched with original drinks like Legendary Latte® and Mythical Mocha®.
The building used an upscaled version of the neo-Northwest image, products, and branding packages. It has been a full show since day one, unlike most businesses that try to show off less.
It’s no surprise that it got people curious. The floors were sparkling, the walls had a peculiar color, and the food tasted better than the local vendors.
Success rained over BigFoot Java® Cafe, and it has retained its popularity ever since. It was a drive, so the tension of big lines was out of the question.
Plus, the staff was damn ready for any number of people, smoothing the takeout and serving process as well as they could.
The Loyalty Card was launched four years later, and at this point, BigFoot Java® had dozens of locations throughout the region.
By 2012, the numbers had crossed two digits and remained around 32 in the Pacific Northwest. It is close to over 70 as of today.
The official website was made by Bullseye Creative in 2016, along with dedicated apps for ordering online. Doordash also entered into a contract soon after.
BigFoot Java Review
It’s a chain dedicated to drinks. So better not expect any breakfast dishes. But you can get a few cookies or banana bread.

The drink lineup is massive, and we have little idea what 99% of the items taste like. For the starter, we picked a small cup of hot white mocha.
It uses a magical mixture of espresso, white chocolate, and your preferred milk. We’ll recommend going with the defaults; maybe add whipped cream at the top if going for the colder variant.
Still, it’s a beast out of the box, and what can be better than a chocolate-filled mocha brewed inside hot milk? It does smell quite nice, thanks to the espresso.
The other two give it a rich flavor, which is what white mocha is known for. But I won’t call it extraordinary by any means.
It’s quite comparable to white mochas from other spots. Even not-so-famous ones nail it because all you need is a good brewing technique that utilizes the temperature to its fullest.
You’ll be surprised at how much difference it can make. Now we cleaned up the strong fragrance of white mocha with an Oreo shake.
Not too shabby; it’s a cold delight that is just cold enough to remove the bothersome hot mess left by the first drink.
So we can have another hot one. Sadly, it took about half an hour before our throats were ready for round two.
Next up is Legendary Latte. A 12-ounce cup, about double the size of the first one, has the same level of heat.
It also uses a secret blend that is supposed to dance around your lovely tastebuds like a queen’s ball.

Final Thoughts
Hmm, our overall expression wasn’t that great. I’ll just have to say that their blends are exceptional. But, as our regulars will know, we aren’t the coffee type.
At this point, we devoured a lot of coffee, and pretty much all of them tasted great. It’s no secret that a cafe won’t be popular if it serves bad coffee.
Plus, it wouldn’t even make it onto our list if it did. Still, BigFoot Java definitely serves crave-worthy liquids. Are they good? 100%; you bet it.
We will gladly award them a 7/10. We removed two points for not having enough snacks. And one more for too many beverages. It’s good from one side, but as far as we can see, only 10–20% are consumed heavily.
