Biggby Coffee opened its door to customers in April 1995 on Grand River Avenue in East Lansing, Michigan, a building that was previously occupied by the Arby’s restaurant.
The founder Bob Fish and Mary Roszel started their friendship during their hospitality course at Michigan State University.
They partnered to start a distinguished coffee house and named it Beaner’s Coffee.
After gaining success from their initial location, the founders opened up the second location in downtown Lansing, Michigan in 1997.
