Carlo’s Bakery History
The first Carlo’s Bakery store came up in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1910.
In 1964, Bartolo Valastro acquired the bakery and after his untimely death in 1994, Carlo’s Bakery is run by Mary Valastro, wife of Bartolo along with her children Grace, Maddalena, Mary, Lisa, and the master baker Bartolo Valastro Jr. better known as ‘Buddy’.
The Jr. Valastro continues to operate Carlo’s Bakery along with his sisters, their spouses, some other family members, and friends. Thus, making Carlo’s Bakery a family-owned bakery in New Jersey.
