Copeland’s Of New Orleans History

Copeland’s Of New Orleans Inside

Alvin Charles Copeland founded his little empire in 1983. He was a Native of New Orleans, and his main goal was to only serve the best of what New Orleans had to offer.

That’s why some people call it Copeland’s of New Orleans, all because of the New Orleans-style cuisine.

These include both seafood and Cajun-style steaks and other meat. The Orlean style focuses heavily on broth and balanced ingredients.

For example, locally grown vegetables, herbs, and mostly imported spices make up what Copeland’s has to offer.

Copeland’s managed to increase its number to 50 by the 90s. That was the peak of its era, and the only downfall befalled it.

The majority of it came from the price tag. The dishes in Copeland’s ended up using too many high-quality ingredients, which directly affected the maximum retail price of each item.

Overall, the price was reasonable at first. But as business grew, they started becoming more complex and harder to make.

Ironically, by 2004, Copeland’s had presented its menus in a steakhouse fashion. The company is still following it.

The main issue was still the rising price issue. So to fix that, Copeland’s needed to find different ways to gather funds.

And that came in many other food-related services like Cheesecake Bistro, Al’s Diversified Food & Seasonings, and Fire and Ice restaurants.

These miscellaneous services squeezed each and every ounce from the remaining facilities. Thankfully it paid big time, and slowly the prices started declining for good.

As of today, Copeland’s has 16 locations, and menus are priced quite reasonably. Nobody would complain after seeing the quantity and quality of dishes that they can make.

Now most of Copeland’s locations make specialized dishes. In short, they have exclusive benefits that other locations won’t.

And with that, let’s see what Chicken Fais Do DO has in store for us. It’s a pasta dish that includes two massive chicken pieces.

The chicken is marinated in lemon for a medium-sour flavor. Along with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and finally the angel hair pasta.

Angel’s hair is a different kind of pasta than what we usually eat. It’s thin—I mean, really thin—and it’s so easy to break the strands of these pasta before you can even eat them.

So make sure to use the sauteed mushroom and the juice from the chicken to soak it up. And then use a good spin and take it right in.

Be gentle, or it’ll start breaking. And in the worst case, it may fall right in your clothes. The chicken comes in massive sizes, so make sure to have a cut along with your pasta.

Overall, it’s a great combination of lemon chicken that goes quite well with the overall dish. And the mushroom is so underrated that we didn’t even feel it. And believe me, it’s good.

Next up is Buffalo Spring Rolls. It looked like tacos to me but with a thicker tortilla and more meat. It is the only dish that makes good use of chicken.

Along with hot sauce, mozzarella, cheddar bleu cheese dressing, and their signature wing butter dipping sauce.

On the surface, it looks no different than a potato gravy and taco. But the real deal is hidden inside that mesh. The first bite will teach you that the mesh is the best part of the dish.

While revealing a bombardment of flavors hidden deep inside. And let’s not forget the sauce; it’s awesome!

And the same goes for its flavors. They do contain the surprise element that we like. It’s not cheap in any way, but the experience makes it worth a while.
