At a time, it sold its product across 100 countries. Some bad times forced it to close a lot of its outlets. Thankfully, the USA wasn’t one of them.

With its best-sellers like Vanilla Teardrop and Caramel Babka, it redefined how the snacks are usually prepared.

The French style gave these everyday baked goodies a new identity along with a new motive to expand the knowledge of side snacks. You can now check for the Delifrance menu and prices.

Delifrance History

The Vilgrain family is a long-known name in the gourmet industry, and it has been known for their Les Grands Moulins de Paris since 1919.

Delifrance is another one of their creations from 1983, which solely focused on baked goods. It includes pastries, French-style viennoiseries, and a lot of savory products.

Most of them are made in the French style, as that’s the origin of everything. It offered both in-house dining solutions and delivery services.

Ultimately, the delivery option became the most popular. With almost a century-long experience, Delifrance offered professional-grade goodies at a reasonable price.

And who can say no to this level of quality? Also, Les Grands Moulins de Paris is a flour mill that supplies 100% of the flour used in the Delifrance.

Which saves more than half of the expenses generated from the new business. It’s one of many reasons that keep the price low while the quality is on top levels.

Delifrance formed Délifrance Asia Ltd. soon after for franchising purposes. It was later acquired by Sembawang Corporation Limited in 1997.

It was limited to controlling interest, but in 1999 Prudential Asset Management Asia Limited, or PAMA for short, acquired 100% of the stake and fully owned the brand.

After eight years in 2007, Auric Pacific Group Limited from Singapore bought Delifrance from PAMA. Auric went private in 2017, right after its 10th anniversary with the new management.

Delifrance had several locations in a lot of Asian countries. Including the Philippines since 1995. Although the franchisor from the Philippines severed ties in 2010 and eventually converted all locations into CaféFrance.

The same thing happened in Malaysia, where the company went black in 2015. By 2016, all locations had been closed without any notice. Delifrance re-entered Malaysia in 2020 at Kuala Lumpur.

Before moving on, make sure to have a quick look at the Delifrance menu prices given above. The experience of having frozen baked goods is the same whether in a restaurant or at home.

So we ordered these instead. Let’s see what our office staff will say about these. We ordered a series of items, and the first one was a chocolate-filled croissant.

Well, the name says everything about the ingredients. The croissant is filled with chocolate cream. Either reheat it in an oven, but only a little bit, or eat it the way it is.

I just ate it the usual way, and yeah, the cream was actually good. There are a lot of chocolate creams, and some taste bad while frozen or when they are reheated.

Delifrance cooked up something interesting that tastes the way it is supposed to be. A great product and almost all of our staff had the same opinion.

Some said it was hard to bite, and some said the chocolate needed more sugar. Well, no one can satisfy every customer, but the majority say it’s perfect, and we’ll go with that.

Bread is another special case in Delifrance. In that case, let’s order the classic Rustic flower bread. It roughly weighs 405 g and comes in the shape of a pumpkin. This wheat flour bread is easy to personalize, and the crispy crust of this wheat flour bread makes it a perfect snack for a fresh cup of tea or a late-night snack.

It’s airy, so the inside stays crunchy for a long, long time despite not being stored in cold temperatures. Still, make sure to reheat it for the best experience.

And lastly, we tried some tomato ham turnover. These are filled with a vegetable Julienne compote, stewed chopped tomatoes, ham, and mozzarella.

Final Thoughts

Snacks are pretty underrated in modern society. Most of our breakfast includes at least one of these baked goodies. Even lunch can be enjoyed with one.

But the fast food industry has totally flipped the scene with its cheap buns and super cheap prices. But is that really good? What about health?

That’s where Delifrance comes in. Its reasonable price range along with a plethora of both vegetarian and nonvegetarian choices make it a perfect stop for those who are escaping from fast food diets.

Even if you aren’t, it’s still a good idea to use baked goods instead of deep-fried ones in your regular diet. Overall, the Delifrance menu surprised us, and that’s why we’ll give it a full 10/10.
