Rocky Rococo History
It was founded by Wayne Mosley and Roger Brown back in 1974 in Madison, Wisconsin.
The show’s star, Rocky Rococo, was invented in 1969 by the Firesigns as a villain. It’s a parody of a character from “Rocky Raccoon” by the Beatles.
These are only critically acclaimed theories, and neither the founder nor their official website mentions them.
We saw a diagram of Rocky Rococo’s life on the official website. We have no idea whether it is a real person or an imaginary creator with a fictitious past.
Anyhow, that doesn’t change the fact that Rocky tried something unique, and it was the invention of the Slice Box.
Each box has a rectangular slice of pizza that can be taken anywhere by the customer, especially in the arena or matches where getting pizza is just a dream for most.
It became an instant hit thanks to its thick size and yet super compact way of carrying it. The box was also made with a special material that keeps the heat in.
Wisconsin has beaches, and it became a ritual to buy one of these before heading for a swim and eat it after the body has been cleaned with coolness.
At the time, Rocky offered three kinds of slices: legendary Italian sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom, but now we can get all the latest kinds with a bonus!
Ironically, Firesigns, who is supposed to be the inventor of this Rocky Rococo, eventually filed a lawsuit in 1985.
By this point, this chain had grown to 62 locations, and it was the perfect time to strike for some good cases.
The fire signs were later settled out of court. The chain was at its peak in 1986, with 120 locations.
Rocky Rococo Review

My preferred combo was Sausage & Mushroom Regular Slice, Thousand Island Salad, and Regular Fountain Drink.
The classic combo for classical places like this. It came quite fast—surprisingly, under 30 minutes considering the pizza is piping hot!
Fantastic Flavours! This is my first time at Rocky, and I’m madly in love with this thick crust and the flavor it brings.
It has a naturally sweet taste, with no sugar added. It’s easy to bite down, which shows that it’s baked well. Otherwise, the smoothness would be uneven.
We saw many pizzas with uneven crusts, and this small thing makes a lot of difference. Rocky definitely redeemed itself with this creation.
Chicken Wings was just recently added to the Rocky Rococo’s menu. Pizza is the signature dish, but sometimes other dishes steal the spotlight.
Let’s see if we have the same situation here or not. It comes with 10 heavenly pieces, all quite big. Comparable to the normal sizes from KFC.
But the best part is the pizza-dipping sauce. This made the pizza taste so good; maybe the chickens will have the same effect.
In fact, they did have the same effect, and man, oh man, it’s so good! How can a pizzeria be this good at both pizza and meat dishes? It’s like Jack of all trades and Master of all.
This pizza sauce is sticky, and that’s what meat loves. A sticky thing on the outside that slowly gets absorbed and brings out the juicy flavors our taste buds crave!

Sometimes it creates something truly wonderful and, in some cases, some vile taste that may ruin your entire day.
Again, it’s not anyone’s fault; these things happen, and they’re more common than you think. The best part is the homemade crust, which will make sure whatever you pick tastes good.
Anyway, Rocky gets full marks. Pizza slices were one of a kind, and I’ll take a few of these home to share with my friends. And you should, too!
