Royal Waffle King History
It was founded by Charlie Crowder in 1986. He left his old real estate job to start his own restaurant in Georgia.
The original location is already closed, and we don’t know the actual whereabouts of it. Some posts indicate Marietta, while others tell a different story.
Anyways, it’s practically a casual dining restaurant, but as far as we can see, the most popular dishes are fast ones.
It doesn’t change the fact that it stayed the underdog forever. It had 11 locations at a time, but now it’s reduced to just 3.
Apart from food, Royal Waffle King helped the community in a lot of ways. They are the official Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, the Racetrack, and countless local sports teams.
Their contribution to local festivities like the Pine Tree Festival can’t be forgotten either. You can also see some donation boxes for our furry friends—not the ones in masks! The real furry ones need your help to find their dream home.
There are a lot of public and community services that Royal Waffle King has ties with, even though the staff is quite diverse both in color and background.
The majority of the user base came from these signature traits. This also means their physical presence is a necessary part of their overall survival.
But COVID had different plans for that. The year-long lockdown broke the ties they had with the local community.
This caused massive losses, and all the locations in Alabama, Kentucky, and North Carolina were closed permanently.

We paid for it in most cases, but here we are getting it for free! Is this how kings are treated? At least I’m feeling super good right now!
The patty was juicy with the perfect level of salty spice we all love. The fries were well made too—hot and crunchy! Fried right away after the order was placed.
It’s basically the end of our journey. The last two items that we ordered were three strips of bacon and eight ounces of chocolate milk drinks.
Well, how much can you eat on a sunny day? And these dishes are greasy to the bone! Well, duty calls, so I can’t argue with that either!
