Black Walnut Cafe History
It was founded in 1999 by George Pallotta in The Woodlands, Texas. There isn’t much information available publicly about its early days.
But we can speculate on a few things right off the bat. For example, the slow start, which is a common thing for cafés of this sort.
It promised to offer a wide variety of breakfast dishes, but we can argue that the current menu is too good to be true. And there’s no way that the first locations had all this from day one.
So it probably only offered coffee and baked sweets. Maybe a few breakfast dishes, which then expanded into the complex menu that we know today.
The café slowly expanded to other areas as its popularity grew. Its classic American fare managed to attract a lot of great customers, and some even attempted to acquire a license for franchising.
Vintage Park and Rice Village were next, and soon it crawled its way into popular Texas areas like Dallas, Houston, and Allen.

But does it taste any better? You bet it does. In fact, the vegetable items on the list bring forth a devastating flavor.
It’s totally different from a regular omelet—less salty and somehow sweet to the taste buds. The fruit bowl is quite generous. It’s not a big bowl, but it has enough for 5–6 bites. Which is the usual way to finish off the omelet itself?
